6/18/2023 0 Comments Blood of heroes open beta![]() Your point is moot as well when AOE4 and AOE2 have already been ported to XBOX this year. Your only argument is "my consoles?!" there are plenty of hyper successful PC exclusives. The genre being where it is has nothing to do with player interest or consoles or whatever. Relic's latest IP cash in (AOE, DOW, COH) or some indie RTS from eastern europe with a shoestring budget isn't going to revive RTS. They all are missing user generated content, they never have ranked seasons at launch, their campaigns feel dated and stuck in the past compared to SC2 which came out 13 years ago, they never have co-op modes other than 2v2, 3v3, etc. They can get die hard RTS fans to pay for them and make a profit, but joe schmoe isn't going to spend $60 on COH3.Įvery single developer on the planet can pull off crisp FPS controls that feel good, but 80% of RTS games that come out feel garbage to play just fundamentally with their unit control. Even the "good ones" like AOE4 and COH3 have been released in half finished states. They are always missing core features or have broken mechanics despite being priced $60. RTS games died because they are all cash grabs. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
